I spent this weekend at my folks house in Bull Valley. Across the street from their farm house is an enormous conservation. My dad has been taking the beast, Walter, out there for walks. It's an incredible patch of land. I brought my camera out on one of the walks, and tried my best to photograph my parents in this spot, in this time in their life that they've worked so incredibly hard for. I think they were both avoiding the camera but I managed. I dont know why, but I hardly ever make it out of the city and visit them. I think I need to make more time for moments like these. I always tell myself that one day I'll live in a place like this, in the middle of nowhere, and I'll find peace and be content with not much at all. I realized this weekend, the fantasy is right in front of me, I just need to be paying more attention to it.
